Plaid Button Down: 3 ways to wear it

Another day, another snowstorm for us here in Columbus!  It has us dreaming about warm weather, fashion, and colors…but when we look at our closet, all we want to do is wrap up in something cozy and comfortable.  We have been loving the button down/menswear trend this Fall and Winter, but our go-to outfit of pairing it with leggings and boots is getting old, and has us wanting something more.  Here are a few new ways to wear your trusty plaid button down.  (The example we are using here from Madewell is great because it’s in a graphic black/white pattern – which we’re seeing a lot of for Spring – and is also in a silky fabric, so it can easily be dressed up or down!  And, of course, it’s on sale).  🙂

Weekend Casual:  A military jacket, pop color scarf (hello Radiant Orchid!), and rain boots – it doesn’t get much easier than this for your run-around-town outfit.  {Sidenote: how many outfits do we use a military jacket in?!  If you don’t have one, you should!}

Lunch Date: You know we love our white jeans, and when paired with a shearling moto jacket and leopard loafers, you’ll be comfy and chic for any outing.

Dressy: We love the mix of dressy/casual and masculine/feminine in this outfit.  A stylish take on a skirt suit that is appropriate for any dressy occasion.
