Spring Break inspiration

It’s always fun to shop for resort wear – especially when it’s cold and snowy outside!  Bathing suits and cover-ups are on my mind, as I have several clients who are heading south for some sunshine and salty air in the next few weeks.  Here are some pictures I found of gorgeous beach looks (and pieces that you can shop to recreate the look yourself!) to inspire you when packing for your next vacation.

Flowy Beach Dress

I immediately loved how glam – yet comfortable! – this beach look is.  The combination of flowy dress (love this blue and white stripe one, this polka dot one, this graphic one, and this embroidered one!) + big sunglasses + statement earrings + bold lip can be achieved by anyone, and probably by using what is already in your closet.  The statement accessories make the outfit, so don’t be afraid to go big here (and don’t forget the lipstick!)!  I love that this look can take you from the beach with kids to drinks or dinner afterwards.  Here are some more of my favorites to recreate the look:

Cover-Up Skirts + Pants

I LOVE this idea for beachwear – throwing on a fabulous skirt or pair of pants as your cover up.  It feels new and different (dresses or tunics have been dominating the cover-up scene for awhile now!), and there are a lot of great options out there (love these and this one!!)!  Throw on a pair of great sunglasses and carry a fun tote, and you’re ready to go from the beach (or the boat!) to the bar. These can go with either a one piece (like this or this), or a bikini top (this or this).  Here are some of my favorites:

Casual Chic Cut-offs

via

Cut-offs are a summer staple, but they work equally well as a beach cover-up.  I love them with either a casual tank (this one!) or breezy blouse (this or this!), and with the addition of a sun hat (love this one), they look chic and fashionable.  Here are some easy casual looks:

What inspiration do you have for spring break beach wear?  What is your favorite look?
